The venue hosted swimming and diving events during the 1992 Summer Olympics. Huang will represent her native country of Taiwan.

“Grace’s qualification for the World Diving Championships is a reflection of her determination as well as diving coach Jian Li You’s  expertise,” head coach Abby Steketee said. “Some of the world’s greatest divers will compete at the event. Having Grace there shows that our Nevada swimming and diving program is dedicated to succeeding at the conference, national and international levels.”

Huang qualified for a spot in the one-meter springboard and three-meter springboard events after the taking home gold in each at a Taiwanese selection diving meet last month. The one-meter event will take place on July 21, while the three-meter will be held on July 26.

The senior had a strong 2012-13 campaign, as Huang claimed the Mountain West title in the three-meter dive at 339.30, finished third in the platform dive at 252.63, and  was named All-Mountain West three times.
