Bowers Mansion Park to present first free family movie night Aug. 2

washoe-150x150-8386520-6483726Bowers Mansion Park will show the film Yogi Bear on the big screen in the park on Friday, Aug. 2. The 2010 movie features the voice talents of Dan Aykroyd, Justin Timberlake and Anna Faris.

The Bowers Mansion Pool will be open that evening until 7:30 p.m., and the movie will start after dark at approximately 8:15 p.m.  The movie is free to the public.

When: 5:30 p.m.–10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2

Where: 4005 Old U.S. 395, Washoe Valley

Cost: The movie is free, and the pool is $5 for adults and $4 for children and seniors

The Bowers Mansion Pool re-opened in June 2013 thanks to a generous grant from the William N. Pennington Foundation.

The Mansion at Bowers Mansion Regional Park has also been recently renovated and is open for tours for the first time since 2009.  Tour prices are $8 for adults, $5 for children & seniors, and children 5 years and under are free. For information on mansion tours, please call (775) 849-0201.
