Reno CyberKnife names Katie Legarza co-medical director

RenoCyberKnife_LegarzaDr. Katie Legarza has been named co-medical director of Reno CyberKnife, joining Dr. Jonathan Tay, who has served as the center’s medical director since 2008.

Legarza and Tay will now serve as co-medical directors, leading the center’s team of experienced cancer care specialists.

Legarza is a board-certified radiation oncologist and has been treating patients at Reno CyberKnife for nearly five years. She is one of the core team members involved in developing and growing the CyberKnife® program.

An active member of the Cancer Committee at Reno CyberKnife’s hospital partner, Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Legarza is a member of the American College of Radiation Oncology, American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the Radiosurgery Society.
