AIR GUARD NEWS — The 152nd Airlift Wing is conducting the Mountain Flag exercise today through Friday, April 26, involving multiple launches of their C-130 Hercules aircraft. Those in the Reno area can expect to see multiple C-130s take off, land and fly together throughout the week. The wing plans to launch 40 “sorties” before Friday.

Launching multiple aircraft concurrently provides valuable, efficient training for surge operations and is a regular, albeit infrequent, training operation. Saturday marks the first time since 2008 the 152nd Airlift Wing launched six of its eight aircraft at once.
