MI FAMILIA VOTA MEDIA ADVISORY

As the U.S. Senate introduces the most sweeping immigration reform bill in decades, Mi Familia Vota and partners in the Alliance for Citizenship, including labor, faith, civil rights, immigrant and community groups will come together to inform the community about what the newly released CIR bill entails and how it will affect our families, along with how they can show further support for commonsense immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship.

The majority of Americans want immigration reform and we are here today to let our members of Congress know the time is NOW for commonsense immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship.

WHAT: Press Conference in regards to the release of an immigration reform bill
WHEN: Tuesday, April 16th at 1 p.m.
WHY: More than 11 million immigrants – a population the size of the state of Ohio – live and work in the U.S. today without benefit of immigration status, labor protections, civil rights and political enfranchisement. Commonsense immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship will strengthen our families, our communities and our country.
