Curious George free family event set for April 20 at Rancho San Rafael

From flying kites to floating newspaper boats, children’s book character Curious George has the best adventures, spurred on by his insatiable curiosity. Children can embrace their own curiosity through educational activities at the Swing into Spring with Curious George! free family event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 20 at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra St. A pancake breakfast also will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. for $5, $3 children younger than 12.

Activities include a scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, animals from the Sierra Safari Zoo, falconry presentations, seed planting and disc golf. The Wilbur D. May Museum at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park will offer $6 discounted admission, along with screenings of the movie “Curious George Swings into Spring.”
