City of Reno partners with local gyms to offer free fitness classes

CITY OF RENO NEWS RELEASE – The City of Reno and local gyms have joined forces to promote healthy living and recreation by hosting “Shape Up Reno,” a free fitness series. Spring and summer classes will be held four days a week at the Sports West Athletic Club, Double Diamond Athletic Club, KOR Fitness, and The Studio. Fitness sessions last one hour; no registration or payment required. Classes include yoga, cycling and more. Everyone is welcomed to attend. For more information, please call 775-334-2262.

Weekly Classes:

Monday – Yoga, 6:30 p.m., Double Diamond Athletic Club

Wednesday – Body Pump, 4:30 p.m., Double Diamond Athletic Club

Wednesday – Cardio Blast, 5:30 p.m., Sports West Athletic Club

Thursday – Cycling, 6:00 a.m., KOR Fitness

Saturday – Yoga, 10:00 a.m., The Studio

Sports West Athletic Club is located at 1575 S. Virginia Street. Double Diamond Athletic Club is located at 9400 Double Diamond Pkwy. KOR Fitness is located at 100 N. Sierra Street. The Studio is located at 1085 S. Virginia Street, Suite D.
