SMHP, SCOLARI’S NEWS RELEASE
Saint Mary’s Health Plans and Scolari’s Food & Drug Company are once again hosting NuVal Nights this Friday. The monthly event is aimed at helping consumers understand nutritional labels and Scolari’s NuVal scoring system, which ranks similar products with a nutritional score.
“We had a successful first event in January, and we are looking forward helping even more shoppers this week in their quest for healthy living,” said Peggy Nipp, manager of SMHP’s health management department.
NuVal Nights will be held the third Friday of each month at various Scolari’s locations. This month’s event is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 15 at the Scolari’s at 6255 Sharlands Avenue East.
SMHP registered dietitians will be on hand to answer questions about smart shopping and nutritional values and will provide a complimentary recipe for a quick and healthy meal or snack. Shoppers can also participate in an in-store scavenger hunt for a chance to win a free bag of groceries.
