The Tailgate Party runs from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 2 in the CVI parking lot, and will include free live entertainment, food and drink specials, drawings and a chance to meet former NFL players. Former NFL players scheduled to attend are Fred Hawkins (Oakland Raiders), Glen Carano (Dallas Cowboys), Conrad Dobbler (St. Louis Cardinals) and Phil Vilipiano (Oakland Raiders).

The 49ers-Ravens game will be shown on Feb. 3 on the large, high-definition screen in CVI’s cabaret lounge and on more than 30 flat-screen televisions through the casino, poker room, cabaret lounge, sports book and casino bar areas. Drawings for NFL merchandise will be held, and $2 Budweiser draft beer (16-ounce) will be available. Inn Club members will earn triple (3X) points from noon to 8 p.m.

Cooked-to-order bar bites will be delivered to patrons in the cabaret lounge or casino bar before, during and after the game. Choose two beef tacos for $3.99 or any of the following for $4.99: a 1-pound basket of Buffalo chicken wings; chicken strips and fries; a bagel sandwich with fried egg, sausage patty or bacon and cheddar cheese with fries; a breakfast burrito with eggs, meat, cheese and potatoes and a Budweiser draft; a hamburger or cheeseburger with fries; or a cheese quesadilla. All of those items are served 24 hours a day in the casino bar or cabaret lounge.

The CVI sports and race book is adjacent to the cabaret lounge and provides a full spectrum of Super Weekend football betting, including a selection of proposition bets, parlay cards, over/unders and straight bets.

CVI is on U.S. 395 in Minden, near the start of state Route 88, 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe’s South Shore and 45 minutes south of Reno. The recently remodeled property includes a casino, sports and race book, 150-room hotel, 74-room motor lodge, 59-site RV park and a convenience store with Shell gas and diesel fuel. There also are banquet and meeting rooms and services plus three dining facilities: CV Steak, a Nevada-style steak house featuring steaks, seafood, pasta dishes and more; Katie’s, for 24-hour dining choices; and Job’s Perk, for coffee drinks, pastries and sundries.
