On Wednesday, Jan. 16 Saint Mary’s Home Care was presented with the HealthInsight Quality Award 2012. The award program recognizes excellence in performance on the publicly reported Medicare core measures and the implementation of quality markers. Saint Mary’s Home Care was the only program in northern Nevada to receive this top honor.
Agencies that receive the HealthInsight Quality Award rank in the 90th percentile, for a full year of data submitted, of all Home Health programs in the nation. In addition to achieving the percentile ranking, programs must also have zero deficiencies on their last State survey and demonstrate they have a process in place to review patient cases for quality.
“We are very proud to be the only program in northern Nevada to receive statewide recognition for our quality efforts,” said Steve Estipona, director of Saint Mary’s Home Care. “Our staff focuses entirely on our patients and making sure they have every resource available for successful rehabilitation.
