CITY OF RENO NEWS RELEASE
The city of Reno will dedicate the Reno Star (by Artist Mark Suzulgit) Thursday, Jan. 17.
The celebration will begin at 4 p.m. at the northwest corner of South McCarran Boulevard and South Virginia Street.
The city of Reno Arts and Culture Commission collaborated with the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority and the Nevada Department of Transportation to create the sculpture.
Reno Star is funded by the city of Reno’s Public Art Fund and through generous donations from the Central and South Ward 2 neighborhood advisory boards, the William Thornton Family and the Parks and Cultural Arts Foundation Fund of the Community Foundation of Western Nevada.
