Nevada running back Stefphon Jefferson, who earned third-team All-American honors on Monday from CBSSports.com, heads a group of four first-team selections for the Wolf Pack in the All-Mountain West teams that were announced by the league Tuesday.
Jefferson was joined on the first team by senior offensive lineman Jeff Nady, senior wideout Brandon Wimberly and senior linebacker Albert Rosette.
Nevada had a dozen players honored overall by the league in its first season in the Mountain West. Sophomore quarterback Cody Fajardo earned second-team honors along with senior tight end Zach Sudfeld, senior offensive lineman Chris Barker, punt returner Khalid Wooten, defensive end Brock Hekking and senior safety Duke Williams.
Junior offensive lineman Joel Bitonio was snubbed from the first and second teams but earned honorable mention along with senior kicker Allen Hardison.
The teams were voted on by the league’s head coaches and a selection of media members covering Mountain West teams.
