The University of Nevada, Reno is featuring the following events this week:
Veteran’s Week – Tuesday, Nov. 13-Friday, Nov. 16
Special Veteran’s Week events and promotions are recognized on campus throughout the week, including a free tall cup of Starbucks coffee for veterans on Tuesday at the Joe Crowley Student Union location, half-off bagels on Thursday at Einstein Bros Bagels in the Student Union, free pastries on Friday at the Office of Veteran Services in the Fitzgerald Student Services Building, daily raffle-prize drawings and a 20 percent discount all week at the Nevada Wolf Shop for veterans with military identification.
The Associated Students of the University of Nevada will sponsor a free breakfast for veterans from 8 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Nov. 14, on the second floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union.

International Education Week: This is Global Nevada – Tuesday, Nov. 13-Monday, Nov. 19
Various times throughout the week and places around campus
In conjunction with the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Education and universities across the nation, the University of Nevada, Reno celebrates International Education Week with several events planned during the week, including “Teas, Treats, Fun From Around the World,” a Bachata dance lesson, a food drive, and more. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

9th Annual Student World Water Forum – Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16

The Student World Water Forum simulates a professional conference based on the World Water Forum and provides a platform that encourages debate and exchange of experiences. This event has been organized by students for students in an effort to gain presentation experience and feedback on presentation techniques from community professionals. Students will explore multi-disciplinary water related issues at local, regional and international levels through oral and poster presentations.

Kick-off event for fundraising program benefitting the Wolf Pack marching band – Friday, Nov. 16
Noon, Greater Nevada Credit Union south Reno branch: 6745 Sierra Center Parkway
Greater Nevada Credit Union branches have launched “It’s Time to Support the Band,” a matching-gift, fundraising campaign benefitting the Wolf Pack marching band, the “Pride of the Sierra.” Members of the Wolf Pack marching band will play The Nevada Fight Song.
