UPDATED: Search continues for missing pit bull

SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE

Washoe County Regional Animal Services is looking for a 9-month old black male pit bull named “Throttle.”  This dog is loose in the area of the 3200 block of South Virginia Street.  The dog is considered unpredictable and is showing signs of aggression.

Regional Animal Services, WCSO, RPD and Washoe County School Police Department are in the area searching for the dog.  In addition, a Code Red telephone alert was issued through Washoe Dispatch to the local residents in the immediate search area.

If anyone in the area or surrounding areas of Lymberry, Brinkby, South Virginia Street observes a loose dog the matches the description, we ask that they do not approach it and call 911 immediately.
