Nevada Cross Country Takes Tenth At Chile Pepper Invitational

image001-6837993-4552929The University of Nevada cross country team finished tenth at the Chile Pepper Invitational Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.

The University of Arkansas led the field of participants with 58 points to take first place, followed by Oklahoma State and SMU. Nevada junior Samantha Diaz led Nevada in the 6,000 meter run, finishing in 18th place with a time of 21:45.7. Sophomore Demerey Kirsch took 29th with a time of 22:02.6.

The team has the week off before traveling to Las Vegas for the Mountain West Championships.
