Celebrating a new date, new events and a killer music lineup in 2012, the ninth annual Reno River Festival has arrived. Taking place at downtown Reno’s Truckee River Whitewater Park June 15 – 17, this year’s Festival is expected to bring even more paddlers, runners, spectators and dog-lovers to Wingfield Park for a weekend of sun-soaked, fun-filled, food-stuffed, fur-flying entertainment. Below is the complete schedule of events for the 2012 Reno River Festival.

Thursday, June 15

2 – 7 p.m.              On-site registration at Wingfield Park

Friday, June 15

10 a.m. – 6 p.m.   Athlete Registration (Run Amuck, Biggest Little Dog Jog, Slalom, Boatercross, SUP)

10 a.m. – 6 p.m.   Outdoor Expo

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.   Freestyle Kayak Preliminaries

11 a.m. – 4 p.m.   Splash Dogs

1 – 3 p.m.              Music on the Main Stage – Ben Fuller

3 – 5 p.m.              Music on the Main Stage – Keyser Soze

5:30 – 7:30 p.m.   Music on the Main Stage – Tribal Seeds

Saturday, June 16

The 9th annual Reno River Festival is held at the Truckee River Whitewater Park at Wingfield located in the heart of downtown Reno’s Old Southwest, named one of “Best Neighborhoods in America” by Men’s Journal magazine and recognized by Travel + Leisure as one of “America’s Coolest River Walks.” Hosting top whitewater athletes from around the world June 15-17, 2012, the city’s $1.5-million Whitewater Park  is within steps of the downtown Reno gaming and entertainment corridor including dining options ranging from five-star to those open until 5 a.m., entertainment venues, museums, theaters, hiking and biking trails and a selection of renowned hotel-casinos offering fully customizable weekend getaway packages including the official hotel of the Reno River Festival, the Eldorado Hotel Casino.  The 9th annual Reno River Festival is presented by Subaru of America.
