What: Truckee River Clean Up

Why:
In conjunction with Aveda Earth Month and National Clean Water Month, L’essence Day Spa & Salon has partner with The League to Save Lake (Keep Tahoe Blue) to conduct a fundraiser and Truckee River Clean Up to benefit the nonprofit organization and add an interactive competent to the 2012 Earth Day festivities.
From 11 am- 2pm, L’essence will guide tours down the Truckee River from Ildewild park and provide trash bags and gloves for participants to clean up trash along the river. The trash pick-ups will start on the dot every hour from 11 am- 1pm and each participant will receive a map of the area to clean.
In addition, L’essence will sell raffle tickets at their booth next to The League to Save Lake Tahoe and conduct the drawing during Earth Day. All proceeds will benefit The League to Save Lake Tahoe. Raffle prizes include gift certificates from Sushi Pier 2, Kenny G & Co, The Cheese Board, Kona Gold, Art Dogs, The Melting Pot World Emporium, Sierra Meats & Seafood and much more.
