BLM NEWS RELEASE
The public will soon be able to file land record documents related to mining claims, geothermal, and oil and gas, electronically with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office. This new service will increase the efficiency within the BLM office while allowing customers to submit documents at their convenience from any location and receive immediate confirmation of their submission.
The public is cordially invited to attend an open house at the Nevada State Office, 1340 Financial Blvd., in Reno on Monday, April 23 at 9 a.m., to learn more about electronic recording, or e-recording, and other upcoming new services.
The Nevada State Office will be the first BLM office in the nation to offer e-recording of land record documents as an alternative filing method to its customers.
“E-recording will simplify the recording process for the customer,” said BLM Information Access and Customer Service Chief Dilene Smith. “This service will reduce the costs and time constraints associated with traditional recording methods, such as walk-ins, mailings or other courier methods.”
Please RSVP to Jessica Kleinschmidt at (775)861-6501 or email: [email protected] to attend the open house.
