Steve Rizzo, former comedic headliner for opening acts like Drew Carey, Rosie O’Donnell, and Dennis Miller will be speaking at this month’s WIN Breakfast meeting on Friday, Feb. 24, at the Peppermill Hotel & Casino at 7 a.m. Rizzo, now a motivational speaker is known as a “true teacher” and an “attitude adjuster” as he teaches people through humor, how to find opportunities for success, at work and in life.
Raised in a tough neighborhood in New York, Rizzo was told by his high school guidance counselor that he didn’t have the intelligence for college. Saddled with the dubious honor of “Least Likely to Succeed,” he didn’t give himself much of a chance to emerge as anything special, much less a world-class comedian.
During Rizzo’s highly successful stand-up career he was a “Showtime Comedy All-Star” who appeared on many TV shows, and shared the stage with Jerry Seinfeld, Rodney Dangerfield, Eddie Murphy and Ellen DeGeneres. After he decided he wanted to impact people in a more positive way, Rizzo walked away from his stand-up career and began his motivational speaking track.
Rizzo has spent much of his life learning how to pursue and achieve his own definition of success. Luckily for audiences worldwide, that definition has evolved to include showing others his blueprint for realizing their dreams and achieving personal excellence and professional satisfaction.
