SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Tweet, tweet. Wow. That’s the sound of Ascent Douglas’ first Tweet Up, June 23 at WOW (Western Oasis Wakeplace) in Minden, Nevada.

What’s a Tweet Up you say? While the term draws from Twitter, it’s a catch-all for an event that brings together users from a virtual network like Twitter or Facebook. It’s a chance for people who communicate primarily through these online social networking sites to meet face to face, chat and strengthen their business or social relationships.

Not a Twitter or Facebook user? Ascent Douglas wants to you to come anyway. We’ll have hands-on support to set up your own Facebook or Twitter account and share tips and tricks for successful social networking for you and your business.

And what better way to get in the spirit of posting a Tweet or a Facebook update than with a location like WOW. WOW is the West Coast’s only cable wakeboarding lake and you’ll get to check it out first hand. We’ll have light snacks and refreshments on hand. You’ll also make new business connections.

Now that we’ve convinced you to attend, here are the details:

Date: Thursday, June 23

Time: 4 – 7 p.m.

Location: WOW Wakeplace, 2900 Highway 395, Minden

If you can’t attend this Tweet Up watch for our next event in the fall.
