University of Phoenix is hosting an open house Wednesday in its Teacher Resource Center to highlight its Master of Arts in Education/Teacher Leadership program. The University will also donate up to $50 worth of classroom supplies to each attending teacher.

The event takes place Wednesday, January 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at University of Phoenix Northern Nevada Campus, 10345 Professional Circle Suite 200. All local teachers are welcome.

University of Phoenix is hosting the event to help alleviate the financial challenges Northern Nevada teachers face when preparing their classrooms. The University recognizes many teachers spend their own money to purchase classroom supplies. Attending teachers will receive supplies to help them prepare their classrooms for the second half of the school year.

University of Phoenix is hosting a similar event in Las Vegas. University of Phoenix serves a diverse student population, offering associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs from campuses and learning centers across the U.S. as well as online throughout the world.
