Check Presentation On Saturday, Dec. 11 at Bugsy’s at the Freight House District
Intuit Inc. located in Reno, Nev. will make a $10,000 donation to the Veterans Guest House during the Army vs. Navy football game party on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Bugsy’s at the Freight House District. The $10,000 donation from Intuit Inc. equates to 400 guest room nights at the Guest House, which provides temporary housing to veterans and their families while undergoing medical treatment. The Guest House does not receive any federal funding for day-to-day operations and the demand for their services continues to rise.
“On behalf of all of Intuit’s employees in Reno we are very honored to make a $10,000 donation to the Veterans Guest House, because we are very aware of the growing need of their services as our veterans age and return from combat they will need more medical attention,” Corry Starr, Senior Workforce Manager for Intuit, Inc. and Veterans Guest House Board Member, said.
Dec. 11 is the last day to purchase tickets for the Guest House’s Salute and Support fall fundraising campaign and tickets for the raffle are $100 and can be purchased at Bugsy’s at the Freight House up until halftime. The winners will be drawn during halftime, with a grand prize of $7,500 and five $500 winners.
Supporters of the Guest House can enjoy a buffet lunch of hot dogs, burgers, salad, cookies and a well drink for a $25 donation to the Guest House. Call the Guest House at 324-6958 to RSVP or e-mail [email protected].

The Veterans Guest House provides United States Military service veterans and their families’ temporary overnight accommodations when receiving treatment at a medical facility in the Reno/Sparks area. It also accommodates veterans traveling to Reno for outpatient medical care. The majority of guests receive treatment at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC). The VAMC covers 100,000 square miles from Bishop to Auburn, Elko and Ely. The Veterans Guest House is located at 880 Locust Street in Reno, Nevada.
