SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Salute and Support is the theme for the Veterans Guest House fall fundraising effort, running through Saturday, Dec. 11. With the purchase of a $100 raffle ticket, donors get a chance to win either a $7,500 grand prize or one of five $500 prizes. Only 500 tickets will be sold to improve the odds.

All proceeds from purchasing raffle tickets go toward the Guest House, which provides temporary housing for veterans and their families while undergoing medical treatment in the Reno/Sparks area.

Raffle tickets are available at the Flag Store, PJ’s, DigiPrint and the Veterans Guest House.

It costs $300,000 per year to operate the Guest House, which provides temporary housing for veterans and their families when a veteran is undergoing medical treatment in the Reno/Sparks area. The Guest House is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation; all donations are tax-deductible.

For more information on the Veterans Guest House and to purchase raffle tickets, call (775) 324-6958 or visit www.veteransguesthouse.org.

The Veterans Guest House provides United States Military service veterans and their families’ temporary overnight accommodations when receiving treatment at a medical facility in the Reno/Sparks area. It also accommodates veterans traveling to Reno for outpatient medical care.  The majority of guests receive treatment at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC).  The VAMC covers 100,000 square miles from Bishop to Auburn, Elko and Ely.  The Veterans Guest House is located at 880 Locust Street in Reno, Nevada.
