SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
Rory Reid will spend this weekend campaigning in Northern Nevada, including visits to three events on Saturday, sharing his plan for the future of Nevada with voters. The events he will attend are the Reno Truckee Meadows Democratic Association picnic in Reno, the Carpenters Union Local 971 picnic at Bowers Mansion and the Douglas Democratic Club picnic in Genoa.
Reid’s plans as governor focus on creating stronger schools for a stronger economy. Nevada’s schools rank dead last in the nation and until we improve our education system we will never achieve true economic diversity.
Businesses will not come to Nevada if we cannot produce a much needed educated workforce. And employees and businesses executives of business will not come to Nevada when they know only 42 percent of students graduate from high school.
Rory Reid is the only candidate for governor to offer solutions for today and a plan for Nevada’s future success–supporting strong schools for a stronger economy. For more information about his campaign or to download his plans, visit Rory2010.com.
