SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
Las Vegas, NV – Rory Reid has raised $4.4 million to date for his gubernatorial campaign, including nearly $1 million in the filling period that ended last week.
“I’m extremely grateful to everyone who has supported my plan for the future of Nevada,” Reid said. “I will continue the discussion about the issues that matter most to Nevadans and build a winning organization throughout our state that will carry us to victory in November.”
The unprecedented $4.4 million is the result of more than a year of grassroots fundraising. More than 2,000 individuals have already contributed to Rory’s campaign. In comparison, the current governor had 1,600 contributors in the entire 2006 election cycle.
The Rory 2010 campaign enters the general election with more than $2.6 million cash on hand.
“This level of support has allowed us to build an aggressive, far-reaching organization that is ready for the next phase of the campaign,” said David Cohen, campaign manager. “The participation of so many grassroots donors shows Nevadans in every corner of our state are eager for a new direction, and new leadership in Carson City.”
Rory Reid is the only candidate for governor to offer solutions for today and a plan for Nevada’s future success – supporting strong schools for a stronger economy. For more information about Rory’s campaign or to download his plans — visit Rory2010.com.
