BLM to host free wild horse and burro adoption event this Saturday

wild-horses-198x300-2416227-6019899The public is invited to attend BLM’s Silver Saddle Saturday wild horse and burro event at the Silver Saddle Ranch in Carson City this Saturday, Feb. 20 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.  The family event is free and will include six yearlings available for adoption on a first-come, first-served basis at the reduced adoption fee of just $50 per horse.

There will be several hands-on learning activities and opportunities to meet past wild horse and burro adopters and their horses.  BLM’s trusty mascot burro, Josie, will be on-hand to greet the public as well.

Potential adopters can obtain approval to adopt on-site at the event, and BLM is offering adopters free delivery within a 400-mile radius.
