renown_brochure_091006_b-21Children in the community are invited to celebrate the holiday season while also helping those who won’t be home for the holidays. The first Renown Children’s Hospital Holiday Celebration will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Mack Auditorium, Renown Regional Medical Center, 1155 Mill Street. Cost for the event is free; however, children and their parents or guardians are invited to make a small donation to the Children’s Miracle Network.

At the event, children will be able to meet Santa, hear a holiday story told by one of Santa’s elves and learn about holiday and winter safety by representatives from the Kohl’s Save Your Skull program. There will be light snacks and a display where children can make holiday ornaments to take home. Also as part of the event, children will be able to make holiday cards for other children who are in the hospital.

For those interested in attending, Mill Street Parking is recommended. More information is available at www.renown.org/children or by calling 775-982-4100.
