Amba Martial Arts instructor, MJ Amba, will be representing the United States at the WKU World Championships in Bregenz, Austria in October.

The WKU World Championships is a week-long worldwide martial arts tournament. The tournament will begin with the Opening Ceremonies on October 16 and end on October 21 with the Closing Ceremonies.

Amba recently participated in the North American Sport Karate Association’s tournament, Battle for Atlanta, where he won his division. In April he was Grand Champion at the NBL tournament’s British Columbia Championships in Vancouver, Canada where he represented Team USA.

“It’s an honor to not only represent my country, but also my family, dojo, team, and students. Not many martial artists, much less ones from Reno, get this opportunity,” Amba said.
