Friday 1/25

Drink-182 is back and better than ever at The BlueBird. Head out for Reno’s Original Emo Night and get ready to get angsty, dance your ass off and celebrate a decade under the influence, with performances from The Seafloor Cinema, All Hype, No Heart, and Hi, Mom! There will also be free pizza, courtesy of Noble Pie Parlor. 8 pm, 21+, No Cover with RSVP on the Facebook event page.

A House Party is taking over the show at Dead Ringer Analog Bar. The premiere party will feature performances from Roger That, Jimmy Dirt, Chuck Tyler, Bridges and Bass Embrace.  Featuring hoops performance, live painting, face painting, and more, the party planners encourage festive attire for all party-goers. 10pm, 21+ $5.

Saturday 1/26

Over in Midtown, Mari Chuy’s Mexican Kitchen is hosting an ice sculpture contest. Starting at 1 pm, this is your chance to show off your skills or learn some new ones. Noted ice sculptor, Cal Gonzales will be on hand to assist the contestants in creating their masterpieces. Contestants will compete for cash prizes.

Greg Gilmore will be performing downtown at The Library at 8 pm. The singer/songwriter and frontman of local rock band Silver will be making his first appearance at the downtown venue, but make no mistake, it will be anything but quiet. 21+
