Performing Arts Series: Take3
November 7 at 7:30 pm PST$5 – $37
The University of Nevada, Reno’s Performing Art Series presents Take3. With rock-star charisma and masterful technique, this dynamic trio astonishes audiences by pairing classical and contemporary music, such as their electrifying rendition of “Natural” by Imagine Dragons merged with “Habanera” aria from Bizet’s opera “Carmen.” Violinist Lindsay Deutsch, cellist Lila Yang and pianist Irene Kim each received rigorous tutoring from world-renowned instructors. Deutsch is presently touring internationally with superstar Yanni and collectively the musicians have performed at Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and other prestigious venues in the U.S. and abroad. Their diverse repertoire includes Astor Piazzolla’s “Oblivion Tango” and the Latin Grammy-winning hit “Despacito.”
