RENO, NV. (March 28, 2019) – Sacrifice. Adoration. Ritual. Godhead. Equus.

Dr. Martin Dysart, a psychiatrist, is confronted with Alan Strang, a boy who has blinded six horses in a violent fit of passion. This very passion is as foreign to Dysart as the act itself. To the boy’s parents, it is a hideous mystery; Alan has always adored horses. To Dysart, it is a psychological puzzle that leads both doctor and patient to a complex and disturbingly dramatic confrontation.

Opening April 19th, 2019, Good Luck Macbeth and director Bill Ware present the modern classic, Equus. A psychological thriller and inquiry into the mysteries of passion and reverence, Peter Schaeffer’s 1973 play probes into the depths of motive, purpose and meaning in life. This international success reached new acclaim in London and on Broadway during its 2008 revival, a strong indication of the play’s enduring relevance to audiences. The cast features Dave Anderson as Martin Dysart, Mason Vokes as Alan Strang and Jamie Woodham and Dave Richards as Dora and Frank Strang.

Running April 19th through May 5th – the fourteen performances of the show will be at Good Luck Macbeth located at 124 West Taylor Street, in the heart of Midtown.
