The Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce announces a public event for members of the sustainability community, “The New Energy Economy, What the Future Holds for our Community.” The event will take place on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce, located at 4065 S. Virginia Street Suite 100, Reno, NV 89502.

The Reno + Sparks Chamber is one of our community’s leading advocates for the transition to a clean energy economy. The event will explore clean energy, opportunities to create new careers for a prosperous community and how extraction of new minerals may be controversial or game changing.

Ann Silver, CEO of the Chamber said: “We can no longer ignore the climate impacts on our community. We believe that transitioning to renewal energy and electrification of vehicles are steps in the right direction for the complicated climate challenge we all face.”

By attending the New Energy Economy Summit, participants can get the latest information on the work being done around clean energy in Nevada, identify pathways for businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance sustainability goals, and network with persons working in the climate mitigation space.

The Summit is free and open to our members and the public.

Registration is a must: [email protected] or call 775.636.9550. Seating is limited. Morning refreshments will be served.
