Join the Hero Challenge, a fitness fundraiser to benefit local first responders (sponsored)

Parkway Athletic Club and Saint Mary’s are excited to invite you, your family, and friends to an indoor fitness fundraiser in honor of the First Responders and Heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11th, 2001.

The event is completely free, though a $10 minimum charitable donation is requested. A donation of $25 secures you a commemorative event shirt! All proceeds from the event will be provided to local law enforcement.

The event will be hosted on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. inside Parkway Athletic Club, located at 645 N Arlington Ave, Suite 100, Reno, NV 89503. Registration for this event begins the day of, on Saturday, September 7 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. No membership is required to participate – all are welcome!

Here are important details:

  • The challenge consists of a 20 minute stationary bike (max distance), 20 minute treadmill (max distance), 5 minute swim (max laps), 1 minute sled push (max laps), 1 minute push-ups (max reps), and 1 minute body squats (max reps).
  • There is no time limit in between events. You can complete them in succession, or utilize whatever recovery time you would like.
  • You do not need to complete all of the events. The fitness program is entirely optional, and there will be other offerings at the event including a DJ and vendor booths for those not interested in participating in the fitness portion.
  • No membership needed to participate – all are welcome!
  • Participants must be at least 12 years old to compete.
  • Kids Club childcare will be open during the challenge hours.
  • Event registration: Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:30AM-12:30PM.
  • Event duration: Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 12:30PM-3:30PM.
  • Location: inside Parkway Athletic Club, at 645 N Arlington Ave, Suite 100, Reno, NV 89503.
