Dickson Realty announced Ana Hooker, a real estate agent at its Caughlin Ranch office, has been elected as the president of the newly reestablished Northern Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).

In tandem with her new leadership role, Hooker has been honored as a 2024 Top 250 Latino Agents Award recipient by NAHREP, where she was ranked No. 99. This national recognition places her among the nation’s top Latino real estate professionals, reflecting her exceptional commitment, expertise and influence in the real estate industry.

“Being recognized as one of NAHREP’s Top 250 is a tremendous honor,” said Hooker. “I’m proud to be part of a group that genuinely impacts the lives of Hispanic homebuyers and sellers. This accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without the encouragement of my broker, Nancy Fennell, CEO of Dickson Realty, who inspired me to pursue the nomination.”

Hooker’s journey with NAHREP began with Fennell’s introduction, who also suggested reviving the local chapter. Recognizing NAHREP’s mission and values, Hooker saw its potential benefits for real estate professionals in northern Nevada. She collaborated with fellow industry leaders to bring this opportunity to the region.

“I’m thrilled to share that Stephanie Zapata and Susana Alcala from Omega Mortgage Group have joined me on the leadership committee,” said Hooker. “Their dedication has been instrumental in bringing NAHREP back to northern Nevada. Together, we’re committed to empowering local real estate professionals through education, advocacy and promoting sustainable Hispanic homeownership.”

NAHREP is a purpose-driven organization that blends entrepreneurial spirit, cultural heritage, and member advocacy to advance its mission. The newly reestablished chapter aims to:

  • Educate and Empower: Provide resources and training for real estate professionals serving Hispanic homebuyers and sellers.
  • Advocate: Champion public policies aligned with NAHREP’s mission.
  • Connect: Foster relationships among industry stakeholders, real estate practitioners and housing professionals.

Fennell expressed her pride in Hooker and the leadership team. “At Dickson Realty, we believe in the power of connection and community,” said Fennell. “This achievement, and Ana’s leadership, underscores her dedication to promoting sustainable Hispanic homeownership within our community. The contributions of Ana, Stephanie and Susana, embodies our commitment to fostering growth and building strong communities. We’re incredibly proud of their efforts and the recognition they’ve received from NAHREP.”

The team is enthusiastic about the future of the NAHREP chapter and looks forward to making a lasting impact on the local real estate industry.
