Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada joins Lotus Radio for Stuff-A-Bus (sponsored)

Date:

Warm winter items needed

Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and Lotus Radio stations are partnering up for the 20th annual Stuff-A-Bus event Wednesday through Friday, November 17-19. Holiday helpers will be on hand Wednesday, Nov. 17 and Thursday, Nov. 18 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday, Nov. 19 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Atlantis Casino Resort.

The partners are asking the community to donate items such as new warm clothes, food for the St. Vincent’s Food Pantry and toys for children in need.

“This time of year can be especially difficult for the underserved populations in our community, and that’s why we are thrilled to partner with Lotus Radio to collect the items we know our neighbors will need to get them through the next few months,” said Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada’s CEO, Marie Baxter. “As we’ve seen the numbers of families we’re serving grow, we know we can count on the generosity of our community to help them with the basic necessities providing them with the warmth of a community.”

Those wishing to donate to Stuff-A-Bus can deliver items such as new winter clothes: coats, jackets, hats, beanies, gloves and pajamas for kids in need; canned and non-perishable food items for the St. Vincent’s Food Pantry; and, new toys for Catholic Charities’ Operation Stocking Stuffer.

Holiday helpers from Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and Lotus Radio will be on hand to accept your donations and Stuff-A-Bus. The Amdador Stage Lines bus will depart the Atlantis Friday and make its way to Catholic Charities to deliver the items.
