Amazon hiring thousands in Nevada

Date:

Since mid-March Amazon has hired an additional 2,000 employees in Nevada, and plans to hire 800 more. The surge in staffing is part of the company’s initial pledge to hire 100,000 workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the follow-up decision to hire 75,000 more.

The new hires join the 3,500 full-time employees already working in Nevada for the online giant.

The new hires will be helping the company meet the surge in online shopping brought about from consumers staying home and adjusting their shopping habits to protect themselves from the spread of coronavirus. Their roles include picking, packing and shipping orders and delivering packages.

Interested candidates can apply at www.amazon.com/jobsnow. Jobs are available on a rolling basis and fill up quickly.
