For March/April we take a deeper look at the obstacles and opportunities our community faces in ensuring economic wellbeing to northern Nevadans post COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to COVID-19 northern Nevada was booming. However, times have changed dramatically. Learn about how we can jumpstart our northern Nevada economic engine in a post-pandemic world. Local experts discuss our greatest economic obstacles and opportunities during these unprecedented times and address specific topics such as impacts of the shutdown on local businesses, federal stimulus aid, specific concerns related to our rural communities and more.

Harris is a Foundation Professor in the Department of Economics in the College of Business; State Extension Specialists in Community and Economic Development in University of Nevada Cooperative Extension; and the Director of the University Center for Economic Development at the University of Nevada, Reno.
