Noble Patient Advocacy offers specialized services for patients, family members and caregivers in Northern Nevada.

Ken Noble McKim, BCPA started the business in August 2019 after seeing a need in the Reno/Sparks community for focused, dedicated and reliable support for people struggling to deal with the healthcare system.

After spending the better part of the last 10 years advocating for his wife who has Crohn’s Disease, McKim started this company because, “I wanted to use those skills to help other people who were trying to navigate through the very confusing — and oftentimes intimidating — world of medical bureaucracy,” he said.

McKim offers liaison services, records consolidation, and doctor visit preparation and recap. He will even offer transportation to patients to attend medical appointments, notetaking before and during the appointment and assistance with filling prescriptions. McKim is not afraid to ask questions, tease out the issues, and piece together fragmented paperwork. If needed, he can conduct research to find reliable information from qualified sources.

“Healthcare can be a nightmare,” McKim said. “It can be so stressful. As someone who is suffering from an illness, you already have enough to deal with.”

Noble Patient Advocacy takes on some of that burden for clients. McKim helps build stronger lines of communication between patients and their medical teams through better organization, better appointment outcomes and improved understanding of next steps in a patient’s treatment plan.
