Enjoy the outdoors this spring by taking part in the City of Sparks adult softball program April – June. Recruit your friends, family members, neighbors and coworkers and enter a team by March 2, 2019.

Softball offers a great workout and provides a fun way to connect with friends or meet new ones. The sport also goes far in promoting teamwork among coworkers. There are opportunities for beginners on up to tournament players age 18 and older. You can choose from leagues for men, women, coed, and seniors.

Registered softball teams play one night per week for 10 weeks (weekday) during the spring league. Games are scheduled between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Golden Eagle Regional Park and Shadow Mountain sports complexes.

The registration fee is $575 per softball team, which is just $5.75 per player/game for a 10 person team! The cost for senior teams is $400 for men’s 50+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+, and women’s 50+ leagues.

Registration for the adult softball program will be held through March 2, at the Alf Sorensen Community Center located at 1400 Baring Blvd. Office hours are Monday/Wednesday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday/Thursday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Late registration will take place March 4-9, pending space availability. The late fee is $35 per team.

If you would like to play softball and need a team, call (775) 353-2385 to have your name placed on an interest list.
