Police: Homeless Woman Arrested for Murder of Another Homeless Woman

Reno Police today said that an arrest has been made for the murder of a homeless woman found Sunday near train tracks and the 2000 block of East Fourth Street.

Police said that Anita Rohr, 36 of Reno, was charged for open murder. 

“Anita is a local homeless resident and was booked into the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office jail without incident,” said Sergeant Colby Palmer. “The Reno Police Department’s Robbery/Homicide Unit is continuing their investigation with this homicide case. 

“Detectives are still asking people with recent knowledge of the victim, Melinda Tucker, to contact the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness.”
