Free Swim Days for Kids at Reno, Sparks Pools

The cities of Reno and Sparks, in partnership with Renown, are offering free swim days for youth this summer.

“We want to make our community healthier, but we can’t do it alone. This is a great example of how our community is coming together to inspire better health,” said Wendy Damonte, vice president of Advocacy and Community Partnership at Renown Health. “Thanks to this partnership with the City of Reno and City of Sparks Parks and Recreation Departments, more than 2,500 children in the Truckee Meadows will have access to free swimming over the next few weeks.”

Sparks location

Sparks, Deer Park Pool

Dates:

Monday, July 16 – Friday, July 20

  • Noon – 1:30 p.m.
  • 1:45 – 3:15 p.m.
  • 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Free swim passes will be handed out to kids in line for each time session. First come, first served.

Reno locations

Traner Pool, Idlewild Pool

Dates

Monday, July 23 – Friday, July 27

Traner Pool: 12 – 6 p.m.

1600 Carville Dr., Reno

 

Idlewild Pool: 1 – 3:30 p.m.

1805 Idlewild Dr., Reno

Pick up free swim passes at any City of Reno pool. First come, first served and limited to six passes per person.
