The Washoe County School District has scheduled a free back-to-school expo from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 4 in center court at Meadowood Mall, 5000 Meadowood Mall Circle.
Information about attendance requirements, meal applications, school bus transportation, zoning, and family engagement resources will be available. Representatives from various departments will also be on hand to answer questions.
Community organizations scheduled to be present include Community Health Alliance and Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada, among others.
Most schools on the district’s balanced calendar start Aug. 6.
