Sun Country Airlines is the Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s newest airline. It will begin in November a new nonstop flight to Portland, Oregon.

“We haven’t seen 10 airlines serve Reno in more than a decade, and adding Sun Country to Portland is an exciting announcement for our entire region,” said Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority President and CEO Marily Mora. “We’re very fortunate to be able to offer the opportunity for so many airlines to successfully operate here.

The Portland flight begins November 16 running on Fridays and Mondays departing Reno at 5:40 p.m. Return flights are at 3:20 p.m. from Portland, arriving in Reno by 4:40.

Introductory fares start at $59. Alaska Airlines is the only carrier currently offering nonstop flights to Portland.

The company started in 1982 and travels to 50 destinations around the U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean.
