South Meadows Promenade welcomes Blaze Pizza to its ranks. The fast-artisanal pizza restaurant opens its doors to the public on Thursday, May 17th. Diners who follow the brand on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter can snag a free personal pizza on Friday, May 18th between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The house-made dough, all-natural meats and vegetables, and open flame oven produce tasty pizzas in just three minutes and for only about $8. Red, white, pesto, and BBQ sauces are available as well as some less typical toppings like Gorgonzola, banana peppers, ricotta, and crumbled meatballs. Gluten-free and vegan options are also available.

Franchise partner, Mayer Zahid, has been a part of the Reno community for more than 20 years. The restaurant will grow to employ 50 locals.

Diners here in Reno, as well as across the U.S., are seeking the best of the best from restaurants in all categories. As competition in the fast-casual market increases, diners are lavished with choice. Not only do taste and price factor into our meal decisions, but now a restaurant’s ideology and values are also considered.

Blaze Pizza demonstrated its values to citizens of northern Nevada in its choice to build the restaurant using recycled and sustainable materials. It also makes use of eco-friendly packaging and energy efficient LED lights. Blaze further demonstrates its priorities by returning 25% of fundraising proceeds conducted in the restaurant to local schools, organizations, and clubs.

Prominent founding investors include LeBron James, Maria Shriver, movie producer John Davis and Boston Red Sox co-owner Tom Werner.

Sunny skies are predicted for Friday, May 18th, so why not grab some free grub and enjoy the restaurant’s outdoor patio?

Visit Blaze Pizza at 537 South Meadow Parkway near Jersey Mike’s Subs inside South Meadows Promenade. Call 775-293-4042 to inquire about fundraising opportunities. Featured photo provided by Blaze Pizza.
