“Students will have an opportunity to complete an (associate), take 300-level courses for an advanced certificate, enter the BA program offered by Nevada State College at TMCC, or transfer with their (associate) to UNR,” said department chair and graphic communications professor Ron Marston.

The Nevada System of Higher Education regents approved the new associate of arts degree March 1, 2018. It will take effect in the fall of 2018.

Students in the new degree options — the associate and an advanced certificate — can choose from three disciplines:

  • Graphic design
  • Web/UI Development
  • Motion graphics

Students may also transfer their courses from TMCC to UNR and Nevada State College in southern Nevada.
