Presentation to highlight creating and running a successful PR agency

120 West Strategic Communications Founder and President Ira M. Gostin, MBA, APR, will be speaking at the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) 2018 Southwest District Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, March 9, 2018. His presentation is called “Moving the Needle on Your Agency” and will provide attendees practical and engaging business and entrepreneurial tools needed to run a successful public relations agency.

Gostin will discuss real-world tips, help participants devise growth plans, and talk about common problems for business owners. His presentation will be open to attendees who already have an agency and those who are thinking about starting one. Participants will learn the steps for “moving the needle” on their business by combining entrepreneurial skills with real-world tactics for success.

“For me, ‘moving the needle’ on a business means blending entrepreneurism, growth, execution, and strategy to drive business success,” Gostin said. “I’m eager to talk with other communications entrepreneurs and help them figure out how to craft their dream agencies.”

Gostin is a business storyteller and began his career as a photojournalist for the Associated Press and, after a successful career in photography, went back to school to earn his MBA. He then worked in both the agency and client side in marketing and communications before becoming a founding executive with a multinational, publicly traded company managing investor relations, corporate communications, and shareholder engagement. In 2016, he created 120 West Strategic Communications, a project that combines his entrepreneurial spirit with corporate storytelling and strategy.

Registration for the conference is open now and more information about the conference can be found at http://nmprsa.org/conference. The PRSA Southwest District represents 15 chapters in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, and Texas.
