Date:

A fire broke out near Highway 395 just south of White Lake in the North Valleys at around 6 p.m. Friday. Firefighters from Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District were quick to respond with multiple engines and a specialized UTV. Crews were monitoring the hillside and mopping up the fire by 7:30 p.m.

One individual was evaluated by REMSA personnel on site, but that person’s involvement in the fire is unknown at this time. They were released by paramedics and picked up by family at the scene.
