SPARKS, Nev. – Enjoy a healthy serving of family fun at the Scheels Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day in Sparks.

For nearly two decades, residents and visitors in the Truckee Meadows have greeted the holiday season by taking part in this annual running and walking event. Whether you’re an avid runner coming out for the 10K or simply looking to take a stroll around the Sparks Marina, it’s a great way to burn calories while giving back to the community. This year’s event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. at Scheels and the Sparks Marina.

Turkey Trot participants can choose from a 10K timed run or a 2 mile run/walk. The courses are user-friendly for both runners and walkers. The start and finish line will be located in Scheels parking lot at the Outlets at Legends at Sparks Marina.
