Hot August Nights Foundation—the philanthropic branch of the annual nostalgia and classic car event— is hosting its second annual benefit dinner, Classics & Cocktails, on Saturday, Sept. 23. Hosted by Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, the three-course dinner features a Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad, Petite Filet Mignon with Shrimp Scampi, and a White Chocolate Mousse Bomb.
Being rooted within the community, The Foundation strives to work with individuals and businesses to provide children at-risk or in-need the opportunity of a better life through educational opportunities. Proceeds from the dinner will allow The Foundation to fund youth scholarships and educational programs throughout northern Nevada.
“To make a lasting difference within the community, the Foundation Committee Members, Staff, and Board of Trustees of the Hot August Nights Foundation dedicate themselves to making an impact on the lives of our youth,” said Executive Director of Hot August Nights Mike Whan. “Whether it be in educational scholarships, a school program that hasn’t received funding, or sweatshirts during the winter time to keep our kids warm, to diapers and wipes for the Family Shelter, The Foundation is there to provide those vital resources.”
Classic & Cocktails will commence with a cocktail hour starting at 5:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy a variety of wine and spirits, donated by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, and a selection of craft beers, donated by New West Distributing. The evening will consist of a sit-down dinner beginning at 7 p.m.
A choir from Lena Juniper Elementary School will sing a few songs and magician Justin Impossible will amaze guests with his magic. A live and silent auction will take place throughout the evening, in addition to a raffle drawing.
Individuals may purchase tickets for $150 each or table sponsor packages are also available. For more information, please call Hot August Nights at 775-356-1956 or visit the main office located at 1425 E. Greg St. Sparks, Nev.
