Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The “New Directions” art exhibition at the Wilbur D. May Center features contemporary fiber, fabric, and mixed media artwork from seven women artists. These are handmade, original pieces created with such understanding of the craft that each piece is exquisite in meaning and delivery. I am very impressed by these artists and what they create. There is a depth to their work that brings a deeper meaning to each piece.

Here is a video where two of the artist talk about some of the work that is on display:

“New Directions” art exhibition is on display at the Wilbur D. May Center through July 23 and is free.

Many of the pieces are available for purchase as well. Any one of these wonderful works would be a great addition to anyone’s collection of art.
